:woo: Introducing TSR's new Grow your Grades Competition!! :woo:

Please keep this thread just for entries, head over to our discussion thread for chat

Need some motivation to get your grades where you want? For our brand new study help transformation competition, we're asking you whether there's one subject (or module if you're at uni) that you want to improve on.

Keep us all updated about how you're progressing in that subject through your blog and share with the TSR community your high and low points, strategies for success, latest assessments, and get help and feedback!

    Why should I enter?
    • Our Study Help team will be on hand to give you hints and tips on how to improve, along with help and motivation from the rest of TSR
    • Improve on your weakest subject to prepare for your exams
    • Share your experiences and gain advice from other participants

Plus on top of improving your grades, there's going to be great prizes for the entrants that...
    • Make the biggest change in their grades
    • Keep the best blog
    • Overcame the biggest hurdle

Sounds like a good plan for motivation.
I'm a prospective medic, and I didn't work as hard as I should have at AS, achieving AABB and getting a low UKCAT, I decided to take a gap year.

So this year, I'm hoping to bring my grades up to A*AA, or even A*A*A, bringing my UMS up.
A (256 UMS) - Biology - My strongest subject. If I only get one A*, I'd love it to be this.
A (244 UMS) - Chemistry - my weakest subject last year, so I put the most work into pulling the grade up. Unfortunately because of that, and my lack of motivation, maths suffered.
B (232 UMS) - Maths - definitely my weakest subject this year, I have an awful teacher and I never really liked the subject, but I was aiming for Cambridge at the beginning of last year, so I took it. Definitely why I'd stress having an interest in the subjects you take for A-Level rather than just aptitude!
    B (143ish UMS) - English - dropped.

Hopefully I'll get +700 in my UKCAT too :3

Yay great! I'd most certainly like to join this competition, for my real exams I'm aiming for: ABC minimum (AAB in mocks) but anything above ABC (Geography, Biology, Psychology respectively) and I'd be over the moon; currently taking part in a Durham University summer school to lower a conditional offer. Hopefully I can get full UMS in AS geography, but we shall see! Good luck everyone!

Hello!! I'm really hoping to get 'okay' grades in my subjects! (AS Levels) Right now, my target grades seem to be an unlit lamp at the end of the tunnel T^T (The subjects are very interesting but it's hard getting my mind around it)

    If anything,

I would LOVE to have some revision advice for PSYCHOLOGY (Ahh, my weakest subject...) I find this subject the hardest to revise/study. (Aim... Method, Fiiindings... Wait, what? HOW DO I REMEMBER THIS)

Thank you for reading!! And I hope you'll help me TwT (Please)
