# OCR Chemistry Salters B F331 27th May 2016 (Old specification) watch

1. I got that aswell but I don't think we were supposed to divide by 1000?

2. (75/mr of kno3) + (12.5/mr of c) + (12.5/mr of sulfur) gives u 2.172 total mass (assuming that the total mass is 100 g because it was percentile. Then (75/mr of kno3) / 2.173 gives .341 so times by 100 and u get 34.1 %
3. But it's the kn/ the other 2 combined? Or nvm

Sad bit is that my method waa right by i came out with 29%... Method marks shud give me 1/2 marks so not too bad . (Realised just now writing the calculation out)

I got like 56% lol totally wrong

Same lol
6. I very much doubt the boundary for an A will be less than 50 this year
7. Last years paper was similar to this one, if not then maybe like a mark easier..

A = 44- 46 IMO ?

What do you guys think.
8. I hope but then again everyone is a retake lol

9. The highest it's been is 49 and if you look at that papers it is a lot easier than the one we had today. Looking at other papers I think an A should be 45 ish

That could mean 2 things:

Everyone is really prepared

Or most of the lazy/average students are doing it...
But still OCR should be fair.

no higher, id say 50ish
was a fairly simple paper and its all retake students
12. For the frequency one with a tick box, I ticked the first one, anyone else?
13. I know for sure I lost 11 marks. I just hope I don't lose anymore because of the mark scheme being so specific, I just wanna scrape an A

OCR will take last year's A grade boundary into account. they know that anyone retaking will do better than their first time so when they average a mean mark they will also take into account the average of last year's paper... That we flopped.
15. I reckon 45-47 for an A. Just as hard as last year's.

I would say that MAX 47 is an A and but I would say 44-47
17. How do you people revise for A2?

Feeling ready for F334 and F335?

I use the Thin OCR Heinmann revision guide ( the greenish black front page) and the CGP book.

I do all the past papers too.

What do you guys do exactly and how are you feeling?

f334 and f335 both hard... do you find some questions are repeated like in f331
