My Geography coursework was about investigating environmental quality within a CBD
I would have liked to have gone somewhere nice rather than the busy, loud city centre.

So was mine, we went to central London and looked like annoying tourists. It was so embarrassing. In the end my group sneaked off to nando's whilst everyone else was doing the pedestrian count and the Environmental quality Index thing

Haha! Some cheeky nandos after a hard day of work.

    Hey everyone I'm committed_nerd,
My hobbies include judo, painting (WC) and reading.

    I'm taking 11 GCSEs :
    English literature OCR- Predicted 8
    English language OCR- Predicted 8
    Maths AQA- Predicted 8
Further maths AQA- Not sure as I start it in year eleven
    Chemistry AQA- Predicted A*
    Biology AQA- Predicted A*
    Physics AQA-Predicted A*
    Japanese EDEXCEL- Predicted A
    History SHP AQA- Predicted A*
    Latin OCR- Predicted A*
    Geography OCR- Predicted A
I'm so nervous for year eleven, the hardest thing for me will be to actually just sit down and work without getting distracted, would love some tips on it!
My favourite subjects are the sciences and History and I'm currently thinking that for a-level I'll take:
    Chemistry
    Biology
Maths OR History (or maybe both, don't really know yet)

My dream career would have to be medicine, especially in paediatrics, hopefully in Birmingham as its close to home.

Hi, committed_nerd! Getting distracted is so easy, I find the best way to avoid it is by doing revision in small chunks, rather than in long sessions. This prevents you from becoming too disinterested, and finding distractions. It also helps if you revise in an enjoyable way. Good luck with achieving, and potentially exceeding, those predictions!

Yeah, they're quite obscure languages to be taught at GCSE. Latin is pretty useless unless you want to study classics or similar. (as it's not spoken anywhere anymore, unless you happen to live in Vatican City lmao) I think my school offered Latin in the form of an afterschool club, but no-one wanted to take it. XD

Yeah, in my school you have to take latin from year 8 (but it doesn't count as a language as you just have to be able to translate) as well as a modern language like french or german plus a language with a diffferent writing system like japanese or russian from year 7 (the school picks the combination) and continue one for gcse

You have to take Latin? That's the first time I've heard of that! Is your school relatively large?

Year 10 felt like ages for me. I didn't concentrate that much and I struggled quite a bit. Luckily, I improved, to some degree, for my mocks, and now I have significantly higher aspirations. I hope Year 11 will go as slowly as possible, I don't want to start A-levels yet!
