7/12 I barely scraped a C in both my core and additional exams because I was terrible at Science so I'm happy with my result

    Questions I got wrong:
    - Light years
    - Altitude and temperature
    - Magnifying glass
    - Soundwaves
    - Astrology (To be honest, I thought Astronomy and Astrology were the same thing)

    9/12.
Its embarrasing that as an a level physics student i got light through magnifying glass and loudness of sound waves. For the polio vaccine one, who actually knew the correct answer?

Seriously though, a question about ASTROLOGY in a science quiz? You've got to be kidding me. Plus knowing the names of scientists doesn't make you good at science. Hell, I got that question right only because I knew it wasn't the other 3 who did it. All these questions were so random and meaningless.
Was probably a trick question, many people confuse astronomy and astrology. Or at least more than you think

And the purpose of the test is to assess scientific knowledge not ability. So it's not a case of being "good" at science, but merely how much you know. To measure how good a person is at science, a more IQ style test would be more appropriate.

Although undoubtedly knowledge of science and scientific ability are related.

a level bio / uni level healthcare degrees kinda makes you learn it
Never learnt that in A-level biology, didn't actually learn about any significant people from the history of biology. I only knew the answer due to choosing history coursework relating to Public Health :/.

5/12 - do I have the worst score so far?

Considering I don't have a Science GCSE and left school 10 years ago I am surprised I even got that many...

It's fine it's just a dumb test, not a big deal. I only got 8/12 and I have As in 2 of my higher sciences, the test doesn't reflect your knowledge of science. It's just for fun.
