You've got thae grades, which is half the battle, and you know that you are pretty much guaranteed a place at a top uni, even if it isn't Oxford. Just give your interview your all and in the future we will be seeing
edders BSc (Oxon)

Or MSc (Oxon) or whatever course you are doing.

You can put Oxon in brackets after you graduate from Oxford to show everyone where you've been. I first realised in the Rumpole books where it showed his name as

Horace Rumpole BA (Oxon)

Oxon is short for Oxfordshire, so I presume it comes from that.

I heard from a (usually reliable) source that three years after graduating from Cambridge your degree is made a Master's automatically. True or balls? Help!

People will think 'Cantab, where's Cantab? Probably an ex-poly or something'.

Wheras with Oxon they will say 'Ahh, Oxford, that great seat of learning'.

From Trinity College site -

"Members of the College who are Cambridge Bachelors of Arts can become Masters of Arts six years after the end of their first term of residence, provided that two years have elapsed since they took the B.A. degree. They should write to the Junior Bursar's Clerk, College, Office, Trinity College, Cambridge, CB2 1TQ, normally giving at least four weeks' notice, saying whether they wish to take the degree in person or in absence, and she will send full details.
