There are plenty of people who have some support (or sympathy at least) for independence but oppose it on pragmatic (mostly economic) grounds.

It will be interesting to see how William's investiture goes down, and whether they use Caernarfon Castle for it again.

Charles does seem to lean that way.
If there ever is a referendum on the abolition of the monarchy it will most likely happen under Will. Those who think that he'll be a better king than charlie are talking nonsense.

He is actually allowed to chose which of his 4 names he goes by when he becomes king.
Personally I want him to call himself King Arthur.

I thought he was quite a popular king.

Going back to Prince Charles's unpopularity in Wales, I've just remembered this song:

He could choose any name he likes if he wanted. Arthur would be controversial though, and make him even more unpopular in Wales.

Noooo, I remember hearing he was unpopular. It might be because he spent a large proportion of tax money on wars and parties as well as women on the side.

I was under the impression that it was Royal custom to select one of the 4/5

    Why?

After Puritanism that was probably appreciated though.

It probably is, but in theory he doesn't have to.

    Why?
Because King Arthur is a British (as in Celtic Britain pre-Anglo-Saxons) hero. The Welsh like to claim him as their own.

I argee no one knows what her views are .... However the Queens Mother was reported to have been very right wing
    ( http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/news...George-VI.html )
I'd say she was fairly right wing overall, but I've heard she was quite socially liberal.

Keep an eye on the mirror and Guardian over the next week, I may well anonymously be in it in a Tory bashing article for irresponsible drinking after doing 14 pints and 10 large glasses of wine in 12 hours

Just thinking that's if Charles Becomes King and Camillia becomes " Queen Consort " then the republican movement in the UK will Increase Dramatically considering they are the most hated members of the Royal family..... So I say when the Queen Sadly passes away or she steps down ( which is very unlikely) Charles should Refuse and William and Kate should Rule using their divine right
To be (King), or not to be (King) - that is the question that HRH the Prince of Wales himself pondered yesterday.
