They're still our allies. We're building the F-35 with the US who aren't in any kind of trade bloc with us.

The UK Typhoons are built at the BAe factory in Warton & we're actually undertaking final deliveries now if I remember correctly. This makes zero difference.
This project would have never happened if not for the EU ffs.

Wouldn't surprise me, the falklands too. Argentina might start feeling brave at the predicament of a weaker Britain. But don't worry, we'll send in the typhoons, built in part by Spain, Germany and Italy

They were a giant waste of money and another example of wasteful European co-operation, bring back our own design / manufacturing.

There's still the chance that the Government won't go through with this referendum, I'm pretty sure it isn't legally binding

The reason they're even in existence is because of investment from other EU countries.... we can't really afford to build our own aircraft or are unwilling to do so

Caroline Lucas isn't happy, good! Anything that makes her and her fellow Green Party crazies upset is probably a good decision.

It's not, but it would be political suicide.

Do you not realise how much money it takes to develop a jet ?
Look at the French and their Dassault Rafale,it costing them a leg to support it.Even America is struggling with the costs of developing modern day fighter jets, one of the reasons for the collaboration in the F35 lightening 2 fighter jet.
