    I was 16 when I started. Just when I started my AS levels. And I was told by the parents that I was the best turn he's ever had (he has had 4 including me). It's not really about age, just make sure you work with them, and help them to learn in a way which suits them.

    And be their friend, so they won't rat on you if you go on your phone :ahee:

    (I always do that, I mean ALWAYS)

    How old is the child you're tutoring?
    Not to get him smart, but to get him better. It helps if the kid doesn't usually try or is kinda stupid

    He was in year 8 so 13 I think.
