30 I think because the 10 molecules of reduced NAD formed from respiration are able to synthesise 2.6 each thats 26 in total.

Plus the 4 made from substrate level phosphorylation during glycolysis and the krebs cycle equals 30.

30 is the answer they are expecting from looking at old exam paper mark schemes. But quite often lots of different figures are quoted in text books.

Yep. You know the question about the tube and the filtrate etc. Was the original colour of solution orange-yellow or orange-red?

Orginal colour was orange red - but when the black covering was put around it, it turned orange-yellow. Are we talking about the same question? How did you find the exam?

Oh I see. I lost one mark then, I think. Yes we are talking about the same question. For the question that was talking about the green filtrate, I said that the green light is reflected. Meaning that the rate of Photosynthesis is low and thus there was no colour change (but I accidently read the colours wrong).

Yeh i said that the green light is reflected, so the colour didnt change as it didn't abosrb the green colour etc. You only lost 1 mark overall?! Lucky, i lost millions!

Only just found this thread, bit late, seems quite useful...

anyway, i thought that was difficult, pretty obscure actually, and not enough time for the amount in the paper. It's a retake for me.

It wasn't a hard test in a sense, just that it needed alot of thought put into the answer. Which I didn't have during the exam.
