Hmm, I don't come on here often but I see people have already migrated from the Y11 thread!

It's soooo weird to be a Y12 now! I feel like I've matured slightly XD

Bring on the A-levels! (I hope I don't regret saying that!)

I've ordered some of my stuff for school already (just no bag yet) but I have a Navy suit, a charcoal suit and a Teal one.

I'm getting nervous for A levels, due to how my GCSEs went, to ensure top grades, should we be revising like every week?

I would say 20-30 minutes revision per subject everyday, that way you don't go overboard while still retaining any new pieces if information you have learnt from lessons.

If you want, you can log some extra hours over the weekend but that's up to you.

Guys, are you taking 3 or 4 AS-levels?

I'm still not sure whether to do Spanish, geology and *either biology or chemistry*, or all 4 of those subjects. I think I'm prooobably theoretically capable of doing 4 AS subjects in terms of intelligence, but I think I'd be able to cope psychologically and mentally much better with just 3. ...I stress uncontrollably
Also, doing one less subject would give me an additional 4.5hrs each week to work harder for the ones I am doing, meaning the chances are I'd achieve higher grades in my 3 subjects. Hmmmm, I don't know :/

By the way, I kinda plan to do a Spanish degree at either Southampton, Sheffield, or East Anglia (entry requirements in the region of AAB–AAA ish), if that is something to consider.

Well if you already have Chrome, I think you can transfer bookmarks etc over. I'd be surprised if IE had Themes, that technology is too advanced for them :holmes:. I believe the whole point of a PC is in the name; personal computer, you should be able to customise as much as you can until it's perfect for you :3
    Spoiler:
    Show

I keep on changing my desktop's looks around, but here's what it looks like now :3
I'd enable the "slide show desktop background" feature but it could cause my dying laptop to die faster ;(
People still use IE? I thought it was extinct, how could someone subdue themselves to such a shockingly awful browser.

I do web design for small companies now and my largest fear is if they ask for IE compatibility, I swear my my soul crumbles every time I hear those two words.

At my college I'll have 4.5hrs of teaching time per week per AS, and my college recommends that we spend an additional 4.5hrs studying independently. Most people completely ignore this recommendation, but I think I'll try to stick to it because I'm feeling reaaaally academically motivated (at the moment, anyway ). I won't be 'revising' per se, but simply re-writing notes and perhaps preparing/planning revision resources for when I start actually revising properly for the exams.

5 Highers brah:cool: (AS-level equivalent, but I believe they are slightly more difficult)

Do you guys get a lot of free periods due to the smaller amount of subjects? Our classroom time drops significantly in 6th year(Year 13), because Advanced Highers(A2- Level, quite bit harder) don't have the same wealth of resources as Highers do, partly due to the fact you can enter university after Highers.
