4cos^2x - cosx = k
Yeah that's what I got, but is that really the answer. I was confused because that seems more like k in terms of cos x than cos k in terms of k...
2. Not sure how people can say it's 'a really easy paper' was definitely harder than any mock I had done and got high A's in the mocks, feel like this was a B, the questions definitely were harder in general
3. (Original post by 09sstinson)
483 or 484 pounds
Didn't we had to show it only as an equation?
4. ****ed up the trig questions hard will be lucky to get 70
5. How??
6. checked with my friends and decide to put these down before I forget...

- a= -48, b = -96 (might have mixed them up, can't remember)
- Factorise f(x) = 3(2x+1)(x-4)(x+4)
- common ratio: 8/9, first term = 18, n = 28
- Area of graph = 226 sq. units
- Perimeter = 40.9 cm; Area = 96.7 cm^2
- the minimum cost for the cylinder is 483 pounds
- Angles from tan: pi/9, 4pi/9, 7pi/9; angles from cos: 0. 139, 221 (3 s.f.)

Hope they are correct! Waiting for Arsey's unofficial mark scheme though hahahaaa

Exactly how i feel at the moment

People saying it was easy
8. (Original post by frances98)
Thats also what I got

Yeah i don't know how they got 226?
i got the answer 132 for it
10. That was the most disgusting paper I have ever done. Edexcel screwed us over

You had to sub r = 2.92.. back in to find the actual cost

oh well, thats another mark down the drain.

Didn't we had to show it only as an equation?
no, the question asked for the cost to the nearest pound

How did you get 226?
16. i got an incorrect value for r in the last question and subbed it in, how many method marks do you thin i could potentially get??
17. Me in that exam:

How did you get 226?
You have to add the integrated areas separately which adds up to 226

19. what did people get for their value a and b near the front of the paper. and the area and perimeter of sector and triangles
