    Hey guys
I asked my principal if I can have my predicted grades by October and she told me to consult my teacher
My math teacher said that it's impossible and that they need time until January at least ... What do I do? (
I emailed Oxford and they said that predicated grades are a must

Yes it is. Same criteria as before (applied to Brasenose, took GCSEs, invited to interview):

In general we would advise looking at the web material posted by Oxford for admissions test results - although our college data are in line with this, it is better to see the full picture.

Physics applicants to Brasenose who took GCSEs and who were invited to interview obtained the following grades:

    10A* 10A*-1A 10A*-1A 10A*-1A 10A*-2A 10A*-4A 11A* 12A*-1A 12A*-2A 12A*-2A 1B 3A*-5A-1C 5A*-4A-1B 5A*-4A-1B-2C 6A*-3A 6A*-3A-1B 6A*-4A 6A*-5A-1B 7A*-4A 7A*-4A 8A*-2A 9A* 9A*-1A 9A*-1A-1B 9A*-2A We think this listing underlines the role the PAT plays and advise prospective Physics applicants to explore the webpages Plagioclase's link gives access to, which include past papers and some advice over preparation.

Btw congratulations everyone on reaching the 100th page of this thread - we are just 6 away from 2,000 posts!

Hi, I'm interested in knowing whether or not you guys think I have any chance at all of getting into Oxford since it's pretty much my dream. I fall into the lowest household bracket (under 16,000) and have 'mitigating' circumstances for my GCSE's due to the fact that I was going through the care system. I got 3A*, 2A 5B and 2C at GCSE (which is pretty poor) but my high school was an under-performing high school. At AS Level I got AABC, however on the B I was two UMS off an A therefore I am resitting one of my papers.
I did History, Law, Politics and English Lit at AS
I should be predicted in the range of A*AA or A* A* A. Have I got any chance at doing Law? entry requirements are AAA.

I'd imagine Oxford will factor in your mitigating circumstances for GCSEs so don't let those put you off applying. I know of people with offers having got AABB at AS and since your predicted grades meet the typical offer then on a whole, whilst your grades may be lower than the 'typical' applicant I wouldn't be put off applying.
If you can ace the LNAT, get a good reference and read about and around the subject enough to help you in your interview then you would stand a good chance.
    There's no harm in applying.

We can't break down the profile to this level of detail so you will have to rely on the general profile as a guide - in includes History sole and all joint degrees with History.
