You enroll.

Yeah you go to different desks depending on what you're enrolling for, the desks will have a sign on to say which subject they are. You'll probably have to go into different rooms if you're taking a variety of subjects as they put similar courses together. You just sign some forms and that's it.
That's what i did anyway. Oh and you get assigned to your form teacher aswell, that's not what they call it in college though is it?

I have a enrolment date for City and Islington college on the 3rd of September.

I just wanted to know what actually happens. Do I have go to different desks to enrol on different AS Courses or do I see just one person. Just curious to know!

Also does anyone know if City and Islingon is a good college?

Thanks

I never went to that college, BUT! I will explain enrollment day at my old college.

Well for me, I was given a room number were my form class would be along with my personal tutor. I remember walking in and meeting my class mates (who were all very nice!) whilst my form tutor introduced herself and explained what would happen over the next few days. She then gave us a few forms to sign and had a personal chat with each one of us, which allowed us to ask any questions. My form tutor then checked our GCSE certificates and confirmed the A Levels we wanted to take. After that we were given our timetables and then she carried on talking about the college, rules, the usual stuff ect. This then took us to lunch time!
After lunch we went to a room which had clubs/sports/societies which we could sign up for. To finish the day we had a tour of the college. The thing is different colleges may have different procedurs on enrollment day.
We never started having classes till the next day.
Don't worry about it, everyone is in the same boat.
You'll be fine

at my old college this happened -
you walked into the LRC and one of the personal tutors says hello
they give you booklets/forms etc
you then walk to a computer with a different tutor on
they ask if you still want the same subjects as your application form says and check your GCSE's
you then print it out and go up to the various individual tables for each subject - the teacher there signs it then you get it finalised and assigned classes then you go home!

Hi, you should be shown into a hall (likely the gym) and you will first 'enrol' for your subjects, as in go to the teachers, introduce yourself and join up. Next you will maybe meet your tutor

My college enrolment WAS the same day after results, but there were others held the next week. Its the same for this year, the Friday after results, and two or three the following week. It can be hectic so you better get in there quick.

You don't need a NI to go to college; unless you're doing an apprenticeship.

Might be a strange question I don't know, but do parents go with you to college enrollment? Is it an option? Or do most people go alone?

Is this the same as going to Sixth Form College?

They can go with, or you can go alone/with friends. From what I've seen its 50/50

I'm literally terrified for enrolment day/results day. What if I don't get the results I need? What happens then?

If you don't get into your chosen college you will need to chose another one to retake your subjects in.

Stop worrying. You can retake and then apply for the college you want to go to next year instead.

Best thing to do is if you really think you won't get into your chosen college is to start looking at other colleges that will allow you to retake the subjects you think you have done badly in.
