I fancy this girl at school but I haven't known her for longer than a few weeks.
She's only in one of my classes but we get on quite well and she is really easy to talk to.
But I don't know what her reaction would be if I asked her out and we have never done anything together out of school.

How old are you? Dependig on age I'd do different things but in general
Get to know her and do things together outside of school as friends before asking her out.
If you've only known her a few weeks you could freak her out if you ask her now.

Invite her round to your house or out to the cinema or something. Slowly act like you're more and more interested in her, without making any bold/rash moves

Don't do what I did once, which was meet up at a local fair with a girl, get pissed as a fart and then finally ask her out. I had a policy from then onwards of never dating or sleeping with a girl I already knew, worked out quite well in the end I guess...

ask if she wants to go cinema, out for a meal, come round yours and watch a film, etc, etc.
after you've spent a bit of time with her, should be quite obvious if she likes you or not, but still dont ask her out, wait until you've kissed etc and have been seeing each other for a couple of weeks first

All flirting is is just being playful and showing a slight hint of attraction whilst being funny.
