It depends on your own ability. If you're academically able and have good self discipline then it shouldn't take you long.
Amazes me that you ask this yet do not state how much work you will be doing per day.

You could easily do it in 6 months if you worked hard.

Depending on the A-level and person. I think you could do it in around a couple of months.

I think if you learnt A-level maths you could do it in about 8 weeks, after that you should be able to get 90%+. That is working full time, five days a week. There really isn't that much to learn for any A-level.

thinking about it- working at a reasonable rate you need to do roughly an A-level every 4 months (two years for 4 A-levels). However, I reckon if you really focused you could do it in under 2 as you'd be so focused you'd find it much easier to pick up new stuff. Depends on other stuff too of course.

Okay going with the Chemistry and French examples and a standard student that usually gets into the A grades working for 5 hours a day
