Havent had a proper book since i finished Officers and Gentlemen. Making do with a combination of Prose Writings of Donald Lamont/Meditations of Marcus Aurelius/Art of War until i get back to london at which point il probably get the last of the Sword of Honour trilogy and the latest Steven Erikson book.

I LOVE James Thurber and those two in particular. Haven't seen them for years tho'.

Just finished "The Book Of Dave" by Will Self. Very clever and quite engrossing but ultimately rather inconclusive (perhaps that was part of the cleverness and was over my head). I've started "Mustn't Grumble" by Joe Bennett - a bit of a poor man's Bill Bryson I think.

    why read something you hate?
Because I have external exam in it, so I must.
But I found a solution I will read fantasy at the same time so that I can enjoy reading  .

    I am reading:
The Gap Year Guide, lonely planet one, they try to be funny but there not, so it is quite entertaining
and Atonement by Ian McEwan only the first three pages though so fatr it is boring

I got The Pillowman, a play by Martin McDonagh, at Borders today. Bloody expensive, but I've wanted to read it for ages, and it's the first time I've seen it in Borders... so I went for it.
A friend told me it was a great play. Of course, everytime I love a play, I wish I'd seen it on the stage, but this is the next best thing.
I'll just need to wait for when I have time, coz I like to read plays in one sitting. Looking forward to it!!
