David Crystal "The English Language". =D

How is it that i was told to read this for A level, but avoided it at all costs. Yet know i am reading it out of my own choice and enjoying it. Hehe.

Just finished Dune (the original book) by Frank Herbert.

Now going to try and blaze through War and Peace vols. 2 and 3. And then i might get round to finishing Bleak House. And at that time, not only shall i have pleased my school librarian (they are all very overdue but no-one else wants to read them-who else in school would?-so i'm fine) but actually have finally finished the stuff i put down in my PS as having read. Don't do it kids! You are over-estimating your reading speed! You won't find the time!

just finished "Memoirs of a Geisha" by Arthur Golden. I finished it in 3 days - it was a really good read, although I thought the ending didn't really live up to the middle.

The Other Boleyn Girl by Phillipa Gregory - I hope The Times give away some more of hers as part of their 99p book deal - it was a really good idea.

I LOVE that book! Can't recommend it higher, paid full price for it though

Just finished Jodi Picoult's My Sister's Keeper, I literally had to tear myself away from it to do some work, and I'm about to start Memoirs of a Geisha as I want to read it before I see the film.
