I personaly love 'Life is Elsewhere', so I would say that is one of his best. Someone told me to read 'Identity' (i've only read three books by him, but i'm told that Identity is also great!)....so read on

Good, gritty book, but its taking me ages to get through, all the reading is slowed down, because of the dialect-writing. good though!
