    Now I were SUPPOSED to read it as a part of my english course.

    Seriously Linda, I got a 6 in SL , despite of my spelling... If you do not get a 7 on the HL Im gonna be really dissapointed of you...

    I've read it, it's great. Salinger is supposed to be somewhat of a hermit and live in a cave or something, where he's supposedly writing great tomes of literature that will be published after his death.

    T'is an amazing book & Holden is such a great character.

    it trailed off about 1/2-2/3 of the way through but picked up in the last chapter

    Yeah, it kinda vocalises all the random thoughts and annoyances you've ever had...it's great
