part time jobs near campus?

For those who are familiar with the area around KCL, specifically the waterloo campus, are there many part time job opportunities around?...or even near the other KCL campuses? where do students normally work?

Even better...are there student jobs at Kings itself? or is it reserved for special work-study programmes?

i'll be an international student and limited to 20 hours a week :frown:....but will need to make some extra cash!!

I'm just transferring with my job (i work for starbucks) although im not a international student im only going to do 8hrs a week because i need to study aswell
There's a small number of jobs available in the student union - events staff, bar staff, people to work in the shop etc.

Other than that, you're looking at supermarkets and cafés or coffee shops really... it's hard work though because there are lots of people trying to find jobs in London.

For us international and bilingual or trilingual ones : how about working a couple of hours in a call center?
Anybody has experience with that?

if you can, get a job at one of the bars or resource centres at the union, they're really flexible.

tbh, though, you'll be fine getting a job, just ask anywhere you think you might like to work. i work one day a week at a coffee shop and i'm on the books of an events hospitality agency so if i want to i can ring up and ask if they need me for anything. and i can fit it in with a very full timetable, so work really shouldn't be a problem
