A friend of mine ad a quote from Direct Line for a Corsa, it was £1200! And thats for only 3rd party fire and theft. For full cover it was £1500, correct me if im wrong but that has to be a rip off.

Yeah Tesco or Admiral/Diamond are pretty good. Also try the insurance company that is associated with your make of car - e.g. Volvo Owners Insurance, Vauxhall Insurance, etc.

Depends a lot on where you live. Consider buying a new car with a free insurance deal - cost me £7000 but the first year's insurance was worth £2000 to me, and I ended up with 2 years NCB from the free insurance!

Norwich union definatley if you have Pass Plus, as firstly they pay some of your fees to take the course with BSM then they gave me £685 back after completing the course.

If you have any no claims then more than are decent
Norwich union direct I've found to be good
Tescos and sainsburys but mind the size of the compulsary excess,
Liverpool victoria were my first insurance company. Diamond are v. expensive I've found
