Compare and Contrast Questions (Psychology A unit 5)

If a question says “Compare and contrast two or more explanations of one anxiety disorder”. My teacher told me it’s best to do just two explanations for example Biological and Psychodynamic or Biological and Behavioural etc

She also told me even though the Biological explanations can be split up into genes and biochemistry its better to consider it as as one whole explanation. Whereas psychological explanations its better to split them up into Behavioural, cognitive and Psychodynamic.

However I came across this question “Compare and contrast biological and psychological explanations of anxiety disorders”. What do I do in this case do I compare the biological explanations with just one psychological explanation e.g. Psychodynamic or do I use many psychological explanations such as cognitive and behavioural.

Also if a question asks for 2 or more explanations is it worth doing more than 2.

Thanks.

If the question says compare and contrast biological and psychological...ect then its best just to stick to biological v psychodynamic.....yeah all the others come under the headin psyhcological as well but just makes it easier for the examiner IMO.

Or you could get AO2 by introducing other psychological theories to contrast with the one you've chosen e.g. Behavioural used to evaluate Psychodynamic, but remember to always link the debate i.e. biological vs psychological back to the question with evaluative and conclusive statements after the initial signpost statements.

I personally would introduce psychodynamic, behavioural and cognitive for breadth, but only go into depth on the psychodynamic.
