Phimosis.......

Hi Guys, first post!! Reason I joined was to check this out. Does anyone suffer from it like me (its only minor for me) and have you ladies ever been out with anyone with it and if so what was it like for you? Thanks

Would be probably best you explain what phimosis is for anyone that doesn't know...

Edit that wasn't very helpful... here Phimosis: An abnormal constriction of the foreskin that prevents it from being drawn back to uncover the glans penis.

Yes, I think a few people on here have complained about it.

Are you being treated for it? do you have the special cream or are you considering more permenant solutions?

Pfft, the cream doesn't work, neither does stretching - they're just temporary solutions.

Different doctors will tell you different things, but in the end, if its causing you problems you need it cut off.

I've had a tight foreskin forever, and although stretching it got it to the point where it can roll back over the glans, I still need KY for sex, and at some point I'll have a circumcision to get rid of it.

So, if you want a temporary solution, use the steroid creams and/or stretch it, failing that, head to the doctors and get it lopped off, sex isn't that good when you have a tight foreskin anyway - you won't be losing what you'd lose with circumcision if had a 'normal' foreskin.

[edit]

Oh ffs, I just posted with Fyska's account cos its her laptop, I forgot about that - I'm Dero before people start wondering about the woman with a penis.

What do the creams do? By permanent I assume you mean circumcision which I def. don't want. I haven't really been treated/ gone to a GP. As I said its abit minor. I mean i can retract it when flaccid but to get it retracted when erect I need to retract it before getting erect (if that makes sense?!?!). If also quite sensitive which I hope will go with more exposure.

Yes, circumcision.

Be careful with the rolling it back before going erect, you can cut off blood circuluation to the glans and cause all sorts of nasties.

You don't sound like you actually have phimosis if you're able to do that, its just a mildly tight foreskin - stretching it could actually work - start engaging in some sexual activities
Yeah you quite possibly don't have Phimosis. All boys have tight foreskin to begin with, and the sensitivity implies to me that 'he' ain't been used much yet. Just out of interest, how old are you / how long ago did you start puberty? Because it seems to me your 'little fella' just needs to get out more as it were.

EDIT: ahh you're GCSE, I doubt you've got it, stop being a hypocondriac :P

Lol well I'm 16, maybe soon lol. I just don't like it being so sensitive, I mean if I leave it retracted for a while it dries abit and makes it less sensitive. My main concern is not being able to retract after getting erect and even when I do if I proper you know aroused it gets a bit painful from being stretched to much.
Me and dero both agree that you need to, erm, pleasure yourself more / find a willing partner.

Is it possible for it to suddenly go tight when it wasn't before? *wonders*

Well I'm sure i have a fairly tight foreskin because when I "unretract" (if thats a word..!?!) it kind of roll up rather then slides up the glans. And just so you know I have been stretching for a week now which is the reason I can retract when flaccid before then I couldn't.

Are you having such problems?!

Anyways, to the guy who posted. All I had to do was stretch a bit when I was younger. Though mine was a pretty minor problem.

It will in all likelihood sort itself out. My foreskin passed through that stage a couple of months ago - I started off much worse.

Its not going to get any better where it is now, but it just sounds like you aren't fully 'there' yet.

It saddens me that actually, in a lot of countries, pre-mature diagnosis of phimosis is a huge problem, cutting foreskins off when you're 12/13 just because you 'might' have phimosis - its sickening.

Give it a couple of years and give it a bit of exercise

I had that.. although at about 14, part of the foreskin used to be so tight it would squeeze my penis in where it was after I pulled the foreskin back. Mine's in fine working order now (19 now). So just carry on and it'll probably fix itself. If you've still got the problem in a years time then maybe start to worry.

Trust me I do "pleasure myself" alot its just I think I'd find it hard going into a relationship because it would be a bit painful due to the sensitivity and not being able to retract when its erect. I assume that when you use a condom it wouldn't matter as that stops friction with the actual penis and thats ok, its just it mite cause problems later in life.

Tbh I'm not sure sex at 16 is a great idea, and if you are really ready to have sex at that age with your partner they should be understanding about it. And yes extra lubey (eg durex elite) condoms would probably help, just make sure the foreskin is actually retracted before you put it on, or that could chafe!

Well, if I masturbate now, I roll it over and pull it back up again - its quite a nice sensation actually - couldn't do that before.

It keeps the foreskin supple and doesn't let it go back to its old shape ( thats the problem with stretching, when you're young, its still quite elastic ).

A condom won't actually help that much, becuase if it rolls back and its too tight, you'll get blood circulation problems - the condom will make that even more pronounced.
If it doesn't roll back, then it will just feel a bit odd/painful because of the way the condom tugs on the penis - in my experience anyway.

I just didn't have sex for the first 4 months of my relationship, kept it to 'other' activities. It soon stretched out.

Do you think if I use these creams your on about that it will stretch out the foreskin more because I need it to be a bit wider and hopefully it will be in normal working order?

Sorry I don't know what that mean?

They will take some time to take effect, just remember you need to keep stretching once its there to keep it there due to the natural elasticity of skin.

If you're unsure, I'd advise you to see your GP, he'll most likely refer you to a urologist who'll take a good look and advise you on your next steps.

Don't be embarassed, they're professionals etc. I hate getting my penis out in public, but they're fine.

Sorry I don't know what that mean?

Rub/friction - painful ouchies.
