Hey there, all those are good institutions to study at, especially Edinburgh and Nottingham. But if I had to choose from them I'd choose Nottingham because it is one of the most employer friendly Unis in the UK and its Business school is ranked consistantly high every year. My cousin studied Management & Chinese there, where he also got to spend time at the campus in China. He is now working for Barclays and doing very well for himself. Of course the FAM course that we applied to is also a very good course that offers flexibility, not to mention the constant interaction with the UKs top firms while studying at the Uni. These are just some of my reasons for putting Notts as my firm lol. I've heard the student life is also great and there is a mixed crowd so you can meet people from all different backgrounds. This is amongst the UK's most popular universities so u have done well to beat off competition for an offer. There's an open day on the 17th Feb where u can find out more. Just think about it carefully before u make choices. Can see why its difficult tho..Edinburgh is also world class! Good luck

Haha yeah I read a pretty bad review for Philosophy at Sussex recently, so I'm gonna think about it and see what I do
What have you heard about the philosophy course at Nottingham?
Name: Sam Course chosen: Civil Engineering Other choices: Loughborough, Durham, UCL, Manchester Random info about yourself or your course: I am going to Nottingham Open Day on the 12th - day after 'FutureMedic!' I believe.

Urm, I honestly havent been up yet to check it out, but I liked what the course had to offer, and it did well in the Times. I guess read their website and check it out... i know its not that helpful, sorry, but good luck!
I heard Nottingham is a really dodgy place though.. As in something like 1 in 3 people are a victim of some sort of crime during their time in uni. Does anyone know if all this is true?

Just stay away from these "dodgy" areas and you'll be fine... Nottingham's nowhere near as bad as it used to be years ago. Don't let that "statistic" put you off going there because it really isn't true.
Hey everybody! I just received my offer letter from Nottingham! I just realised that Nottingham has a student portal, where you can track your applications progress!!! I think it should also work for people who haven't heard anything from them too!
Just go to: http://my.nottingham.ac.uk/ugapps The username = UCAS Personal ID No. (e.g. 1234567890) Password = birthdate in the format; for e.g. 03oct88
Try it out! Its pretty useful!
Congrats on the offer.
I did think it wouldn't work but it did for me I wonder which they update first.

Thanks!
I think they update their own portal first, since there is a "lag" time between when Universities send decisions to Track and the time they take to update Track!
ummm had offers from east anglia, bham and then there's my interview at UCL well not really, they're all slightly different-- but basically thy are all management science/ management related u?
hey, havent been on here for while, have you heard from Notts yet? mine are the same subject area really. I'm having trouble whether to put Loughborough (maths, accounting and financial management) as my insurance or queen mary (economics finance and management.. which would you choose?

I think it just depends. My portal didn't update with an offer until a day after Track.
