Yeah, well I've been on the open day now and even though I only saw Florence Boot from the outside it looked really nice ^-^
Haha, well tbh it's not really near any major cities, I suppose the closest would be Middlesbrough.. it's sort of on the outskirts of North Yorkshire. I can't wait to leave it tbh XD
I have absolutely no idea where that is lol! My knowledge of UK geography is quite poor

Haha its kind of near Manchester but thats still like an hours drive away! Did they show you Cripps on the accomodation tour?

My dad lives in Blackpool if it's anywhere near there..? lol.
Nah they showed us Nightingale, it looked quite nice  Kinda wish I'd put that as maybe my 3rd or 4th option, it seemed like a decent back-up. Although I shouldn't need one seeing as I got my application 20 minutes after they opened it. I'm pretty sure we didn't even walk past Cripps or HuStu, or I just wasn't paying much attention -_-
Heyy, has anybody applied for accommodation yet?
I've chosen Lenton, Lincoln, Florence...

Hey y'all! Haha i got an offer for Architecture, conditional (ielts 6.5 and an average grade of 80/100). I think i'm gonna firm it! Now the problem is; I want to go self-catered but I don't know which self-cat halls are the best? I heard some good things about Broadgate park? Does anyone in this thread have experiences with self-cat halls? Thaaaanks!

In terms of academic and repuation, overall Nottingham does rank better than city and manchester http://extras.timesonline.co.uk/tol_gug/gooduniversityguide.php. However on departmental scores, it appears all three are the same http://extras.timesonline.co.uk/tol_gug/gooduniversityguide.php?AC_sub=Accounting+and+Finance&x=17&y=10&sub=0.

Also the City and Manchester are not campus Universities and Nottingham is. Maybe the convenience of having halls, the Student Union and lecture halls all on one compact secluded site is better for you? or maybe not.

Ultimately these are the things I considered. Admittedly University and departmental rank/reputation was weighted higher for me. Next was campus v non campus and then the social scene (clubs, cinema, bars)

Hello everybody!!
I am an international student, I had applied for Law earlier to Notts, got and Unconditional offer but then i asked whether i was eligible for economics and yess!! they gave it to me !!
So now i am going for BSc Economics and I have firme Nottingham. Ohh, and I am also done with my accommodation , i chose Broadgate Park , it looks nice and is self catered and closest to University Campus.

thnx a lot for the advice..i think i will choose nottingham as my firm....d funny thing is that my insurance has a higher conditional offer than firm since nottingham requires only 32 ib grade points....
i havent yet done recommendation nd stuff..i better get to it...i received a mail a few weeks back and i was already assigned at the jubilee campus
Can we apply for accommodation with a conditional offer? I've already accepted Nottingham Uni as my firm choice.

As soon as you have firmed Nottingham, you can apply for accomodation!
Yay!

Has anyone who applied for halls online had their places allocated yet?
