Have any of you considered sabotage in your respective fields?

Looking at my competition in the Economics forum scares me and my idea was that if we all say to anyone (here or elsewhere) how bad Nottingham Uni is/ the league tables exaggerate/ the accomodation is awful etc then we may be more likely to get offers! Who's with me? And yes I'm serious.

AS: AAAC (Dropping one A for A2)
Predicted grade: AAA
Just wondering what you think my chances are? Really want to go to Nottingham- Even willing to apply to Notts more than once for a slightly different course ie, Geography with business

You're applying with predicted grades of AAA and they only want AAA - right? So I would say that your chances are good. You have not put what these are in though, so provided they're not all 'soft' subjects, you stand as good a chance as anyone. I would not however start changing my course just to get in, when I already exceed the minimum requirements.

Random info about yourself or your course: It's only recently I've decided to make Nott my firm as I was too scared to leave home (I live on the outskirts of Hull) but have always loved the uni and the course looks fantastic, right up my street. Having had a decent talk with the family and looked into accommodation (LOVE the look of Raleigh Park, I wants me a shared self-catered house! Or Broadgate Park or anywhereee) and the nightlife, I think I'm ready to do it. Just hope I have great house/flatmates and settle in okay :smile:

I put off going away from home for so long because I just thought I wouldn't cope and that I'm not independent enough yet but I have always loved the look of Nottingham, it's been on my list since I started nosying at universities and having properly researched it with the full support of all my family, I may be in love! I've even been deciding my accommodation :o:

But yes, I can definitely sympathise :smile:

lol phew, glad someone is in the same situation!

Another this is, I've lived a pretty sheltered life so far haha! Hardly every been to other big cities (Been bham once for shopping with an ex) and the area I live is crap and rough as hell, so I tend to be nervous about stepping out my own area and shell.

I really would love to get into Nottingham, what with the city seeming nice, the uni itself looks amazing, and then I heard all about the sports aspects too and I too have fallen in love with Nottingham! Think I'll be so gutted if I don't get in, which I probably won't! :frown:
