Anyone sharing a room in Lumsden? How do I find out who I'm sharing with?

When you move in :p:

You can post in some of the facebook freshers groups, some people find their roomates there. I think last year someone asked accomodation services to forward their email address to their roomate (they won't give you your roomates address because of privacy and all that), I don't know if that was successful or not.

Hello!
Lucky you staying in Lumsden! I was in there last year, and absolutely loved it! As banane suggests, facebook groups are a great way to find your roomate, neighbours, or just to get in touch with others who are going to be in hall as well...here's the link:
http://www.facebook.com/home.php?ref=home#/group.php?gid=102144837570&ref=ts

Another thing is, University Hall actually has it's own website/forum site which you can become a member of...not many people know about it (well didn't last year when I used it), but it's maybe worth having a look at!
http://www.uni-hall.co.uk/portal.php?sid=79c78fa398414f1d53e1f9c59af89978

Or yes, as already said, you can ask for your contact details to be sent to your roomate so that thay can get in touch with you.

Uni Hall is a great hall, and I'm really going to miss it next year! If you have any qus about the hall, please ask!

Still no reply from accomodation! But it is the weekend, then bank holiday etc, so I'll forgive them

Do you have any idea where room 35 is on floor A? The floor plan is really outdated and I'm terrified it's in a cupboard  Are the rooms a decent size for two? I share with my sister already, but I need to figure out how much stuff I can bring!
what are the odds of someone getting a twin room to themselves haha... I applied for single and got a shared room, not too pleased!

Ahhh! Room Lumsden A35! My friends had that last year! It was a fine size, quite big with good wardrobe space, but a lil bit dark at times. Bigger than Room 38 (which is also shared, and I had on C-floor) AND you don't have to walk up any stairs, which is helpful for nights-out, returning at 3am....

Thank god! I have a major coat/boot/handbag collection so the wardrobe space will come in handy! I've still not heard who I'm sharing with though :frown:

Before facebook became popular with the masses, hardly anyone knew who their roomate was before they moved in. I like it better that way, it's always a bit strange meeting someone who you only know online compared with meeting someone you don't know at all. But that's just my opinion!
