umm... less alcohol and fast food?...
perhaps you've eaten too much / drank too much fluid?

try running or some kind of exercise / something which would make you sweat a lot (if it's water retention)?

How do you get rid of a bloated tummy? Mine has this sort of ‘pot belly’ look. It’s starting showing through my tops as well. A friend of mine, who I had not seen for a while, actually thought I was ‘about 3 months pregnant’ . as funny as that sounds, it’s also very upsetting.

The only thing you can do really is start excercising and maybe cutting down on junk if you havent already. You'll need to get rid of the fat on the stomach before you can tone up the mucsles so eat healthily!!

Sit ups and side bends are obviously good for the tummy but try and excersice all of the muscle groups by going walking, running, bike riding or doing aerobics or dance or something.

Don't eat too many sugar free sweets... ()

Drink TONS - you may be retaining water because your body is dehydrated and trying to hold on to what water you do have inside you. Drink plenty regularly and you shouldn't bloat so much. (apparently).

Is this just in your stomach, or do you get it in other places too?

Are you constantly bloated or does it come and go?

if it looks like you're 3 months pregnant, it's a bit more than bloated! you'll have to lose some weight to get rid of the fat. loads of weight-loss threads around!

You can be very bloated and the stomach will look severely distended.
oh...and avoid salty stuff...cos they would increase your water reabsoption in the kidneys.

Dont be silly!! You dont really show when you are 3 months pregnant. If its your first the stomach can expand slightly but not dramatically.

Just in the stomach

My mother developed a wheat intolerance, which bloated her stomach quite severely. You could try cutting down on wheat products for a week, and see if it helps.

If its literally just bloating, then I don't think exercise will get rid of it. Oh, also eating on the run can create a bloating effect, apparently, because you swallow a lot of air. So eat slowly, sitting down.

That's all I can think of. Hope it gets better.

I wouldn't worry - babies are the new "must have" accessory for teens.

I know what you mean by the pot-belly thing....I get that too. Sometimes it's bad and sometimes it's ok. Running, sit-ups and water seems to be working though x x x

So is this a long-term issue, or were you just a bit bloated at the time of the post?

If you were bloated at the time, then I wouldn't reccomend drinking water unless you need to. It will just make you feel more bloated. Needless to say, don't eat anything either

If it's a long-term problem, and you think you're just putting on a bit of weight around your tummy, then you want to be drinking lots and lots of water. It will help keep weight off, and you will feel much healthier. Also, your urine may change colour - an added bonus!

Do you chew alot of chewingum?

Apparently you swallow alot of air and can become bloated from that.
