How long's your commute? You must've had days when the commute is longer than the teaching day

Hmmmm it's about 30mins. The worse commute I heard was during exam time where my friend took five hours by bus which normally takes 45 mins on the tube!

Oh I've had many days where I've commuted for just one class, I got so fed up I moved to another class:p:

Five hours... ... what.

Are timetables OK with people changing classes because of awkward timing? Their page on LSEFY seems well strict :p:

Tube was on strike, traffic was at a standstill!Luckily that doesn't happen everyday!Speaking of commutes I knew a guy who used to commute from Cambridge!

They're not that strict although 'I can't be bothered to turn up for 9 am classes' won't hold:p:

oh, UK are so prone to strikes. I hate it. I even get my mail so much later due to strike in Royal Mail.

That's insane. I have a 40-50 minute commute on the Tube (which isn't too bad because I'm on a terminating stop so can get a seat to read every time).

That's good to hear. I hope they'll be lenient if I have one class on Monday or something

My advice is to be first in the queue to change classes. Last year, a few people changed at their tutor's discretion, then everyone started changing to be with friends, to have all their classes on one day etc, which was followed by an angry e-mail a few weeks in, which promptly put an end to any swaps.

Thats not too bad. They'll be lenient if you come up with a good enough reason:smile:

When can we apply for student oyster cards? Where do we get the forms from? I asked at the train station and my newsagents and they said they don't keep the 18+ student oyster card forms
