Yea you have to pick two other modules... from what I can remember of a few of my friends, you get a module guide book in your welcome pack with info on the choices of the supplementary modules.

No big deal really...each uni year you have to undertake 6 modules.....in first year, your own subject is going to be 4 modules and you need to pick 2 random modules from the book to get enough cats points for the year.

You may have to do exams for them....but with uni you'll find each module has different ways of marking and passing a module..for example a module may be 30% exam and 70% coursework composed of seminar participation/presentation/research project/essay.

wow i blabbled on there lol

Thank you very much! That has completely cleared it up for me. I can't believe I didn't know this! :eek3:

Yeah there aren't many of the optional modules for my degree that I really waaant to do which is annoying.

I want to do Spanish, I need a B in GCSE for that though, I only got a C. I have studied Spanish a bit in my spare time and I'm actually alright at it, do you think there would be any chance of making a case for myself to be able to do it?

That's really weird...both doing SA and both considering Spanish! I think you'd be able to do it, I've never done Spanish but got B at GCSE German and can therefore do like beginners Spanish...I'm sure you could do that?

Haha, this is funny!

I actually thought it was beginners Spanish that I needed a B in GCSE for, but maybe (hopefully!) I read wrong. I'm going to go check that out now.

Forgot about this... yeah I emailed them and they'd be happy to let me do Spanish even with a C.

Aww, happy days!

I was just choosing my optional modules and it says Error: You are unable to add this class at this time Adding this class would exceed your course limit for this session. for Spanish...do you have ANY idea what this means?!
Reply 8
I'm trying to add it right now too, what are you putting in the box? 1021? 1022? or whaat? I think I'm doing it completely wrong because it just keeps saying 'The class number entered is not valid for this term. Try another'

1021 cus it's for Autumn semester. I'm so annoyed I cannae do Spanish!
Reply 10
Did you pick something else that clashes or something?

I don't know why it won't let me put in 1021 :frown:
it must clash with something....I dunno I'm really confused now lmao. I've got one module picked, human evolution..can't get another done!
Reply 12
I should learn to just follow instructions instead of trying to do things for myself.

It's going fine for me now

Sure you can choose what time you want yout tutoral and oral prep at, so try diff times and see?
yeah i tried that, for some modules there's only one option and I can't do Spanish anyway for some reason...might leave finishing it until tomorrow lol

Just realised that probably means I can't choose that archaeology module either then? It's the only other thing I thought looked good. But yeah it is pretty late, I'll think clearer in the morning maybee
lol i just managed to drop what i had chosen so now I'm doing Spanish, just have to pick something else!

Just realised that I think we just pick one course for each semester? I'm picking Spanish for both then, sorted. We in any of the same? I picked all the ones that were later in the day lol.
