Some advice from a 2nd year Swansea Student

Bit more info - the Uni has now completely switched to "Eduroam" for Wireless internet which is much simpler and generally doesn't require any software downloads. All the info is here:

Would be a good idea to register your computer online before you get to Uni to make more room for valuable drinking time. :smile:

That's cool, I just got all the packages I need so I think I'm set. I'll have to get a bike lock this week.

They had eduroam running last year - really confused me when I came back after Easter. My laptop couldn't decide what to connect to.

How do you know when the eduroam thing is set up? My computer just had a sort of spaz when i installed it and disconnected from my home wireless. There was no prompt for my uni email or password or anything... :s-smilie:

On my university email account? If it is that one, i don't know my username or password. :s-smilie:

Worked it out, sorry. :tongue:

If anyone else wants to know, your username is [studentnumber]@swansea.ac.uk and the password is your date of birth, like 01/01/1991. I know some people will already know, but a few might not. :smile:
