Help! I need an excuse to get out of the house!

Keep anonymous or delete as my sister uses this site.

So I received my A-Level results earlier and I did very well, better than expected (AAB). My History teacher is kind of young-ish, in his early 30's, and we have each other on Facebook. When we were on there, he congratulated me on my results. After chatting some about the results, he asked me if I we could meet up at the really posh hotel for drinks and dinner. I said yes, so we talked and decided to just make a night of it at the hotel.

So the celebratory night is set for this Friday. Now here is the problem: I asked him if he could take me on Friday (he's driven me home from school before), but he said not to tell my parents or anybody else. So now I have to think of an excuse so I can leave that night to meet up with him. In the past I have just told my parents I would be sleeping at a friends house, but I'm worried that they will call or something and my friends won't be in on it. Does anybody know anything I can tell my parents so I can go out on Friday?

Thanks in advance

Ask a close friend to cover for you....or say you're at a friend's house and don't leave a number.
Say there's a party?

Yeah, some.

I suspect that yours aren't the only results that he's been celebrating then. I'd stay well clear; he's clearly got something to hide - a wife and kids perhaps?

say you're going to the cinema... that way you've got an excuse if you don't answer the phone.

Last time I tried it, my parent's talked to my friends' parents. I thought about saying going to a party, but they won't like it if I stay out all night.
Ohhhh this sound's well seedy! He's taking advantage of you!

I don't understand what's the problem is. We're just going to have a fun night out for results.

Then ask if his wife knows about this? And if he says yes take it upon yourself to invite her along too - don't tell him though; it would be a nice surprise for him.
hes got a wife! and you clearly know what a meal and drinks in a hotel will lead to.

Have you ever been for a romantic dinner with somebody who's told you not to tell anyone about it; refuses to pick you up in case he gets "caught out" and then offers to put you up for a night in a hotel? Has that person been your 30 year old, married teacher? Perhaps, but don't quote me, that's just a few too many coincidences. :p:
