My sister is having one soon! If you can wait that long I'll tell you all about it

When's she having it? My ball's on Saturday so my friend and I were thinking about going on Wednesday/Thursday to get it done. I'm a little bit wary cause I've got quite sensitive skin ... I would have thought they'd do us a patch test when we go to book though ...

My friend had one and she said it was good and she would have one again. Aparently it wasn't streaky and because it was spray on, it went in a couple of days, which is perfect if you just want it for one night.
I have to say, from a male perspective...make sure its good!

At our prom there was many girls looking like theyd spent time stuck in a teapot, rather than looking tanned.

And some had even forgotten to tan bits!! leaving white streaks, theyd have looked better pale to be honest.

So IMO fake tan, YES if its done properly!, otherwise surely a short sun bed session would be better (providing it isnt a cancer inducing long sesh)

Yeah, that's why I'm going for a spray tan done in a salon rather than fake tanning myself ... sunbeds are outta the questions cause my skin's been really sensitive to UV rays lately and I don't wanna go to the ball all red and blotchy!

Well, from another male perspective, I'd say don't have a tan unless:

(a) You are really spotty on the skin areas you will be showing off :p:
(b) You won't be able to make yourself go unless you look like everyone else and follow the trend.
(c) You have no money

Personally, I find pale skin quite nice to look at instead of some tarted up blonde who looks like she's just come of a cheap, easyjet, holiday from Spain.

Up to you

There were some disasterous tan jobs at my senior prom- I'd make sure you go somewhere where you know someone else has been and been happy with the result and make sure they go easy on your face. x

Well it's booked for tomorrow so hopefully I won't end up looking like one of these tarted up blondes :p: ... my dress is black and I wanted a bit of colour cause I'm sooooo white.

Thanks for all the advice everyone

I got one done for my 18th! The only place it streaked was my hands because i went to the loo and then washed my hands. I slept in it overnight which kinda made it darker (it REALLY smells!!! Obviously when you wash it off its ok tho, kinda cocunut but get sickly after a while) so mine was pretty dark but it looked good, i think it mixes in with your natural skin tone or something. My face was a bit dark and when i woke up in the morning i looked terrible but once you have a shower it really calms down.
