Hi, What do you need to know, I lived in Mappin this year.

I tried to get any information about it but nothing till now

I applied for Broad Lane as first choice
but it seems the majority do not like it
they say its bad
rooms are too small
and you have to que for hours to get your clothes washed
and its noisy

so, I decided to change for Mappin
what do you think :biggrin::biggrin:
thank you.

but I heard its bad only late at 2 or 3 am
and after I changed, I heard that Mappin is also in the red light district

Mappin Court and Broad Lane are both in the Red Light District but its not that noticable until the early hours of the morning, and even then i've only seen a few 'ladies' about.
As for queueing for washing machines, Broad Lane has over 200 residents so there are bound to be more queues than at Mappin which only has 38 residents. But its not that bad, everyone gets into a different routine, like me, I used to do laundry at night - no queues.
The rooms are about the same size in each building, but personally I like the layout of Broad Lane kitchens.

so scrappy, did you enjoyed your stay at Mappin?
I think, living in a smaller society at Mappin would be easier
and, according to the map, mappin is closer to west street and city center
and the computer science department as well, where I am doing my degree
I hope I made a good decision changing to mappin

I loved Mappin, with it being small it felt like you knew everyone a lot better. I actually applied to Broad Lane but got Mappin instead, sometimes I wished I was in Broad Lane purely so that I met more people but you make the most out of where ever you end up!
You're right, Mappin is closer to West Street and the City Centre but Mappin and Broad Lane are literally 2 minutes away from each other so there's no real difference.
The computer science building is behind Mappin, I'd say about 10 paces door to door!
You'll love Mappin, I'm sure of it. One thing to remember, make sure you do the pub quiz on a sunday evening in the Red Deer (best pub ever, I'll miss it more than Mappin!)
