What the hell is the "UCAS Application Number?"

Sorry if I seem stupid, but im applying for a scholarship at University, and in the application it asks for my UCAS application number. I assumed it was my UCAS ID, but there isn't enough boxes on the application form.....

Any ideas?

It's a number that has actually been phased out this year. Students don't get to see it from Track/Apply - the member of staff at my school who has access to the Teacher area of Track can see it, so I advise you ask your school/college.
Mine starts with 09- or something like that (she wrote it down for me just in case!)

Just thought i'd pass this on:
I called up ucas and they said that for student loans it wants the personal UCAS ID number even though it says application number

Despite on every piece of correspondence UCAS sends out it states DO NOT GIVE OUT YOUR PERSONAL ID ??? Stupid system.

Your school/college should give it to you. Our school gave them out before the holidays - weeks before. They like to get things done 'early'. :shifty:
They wrote it down for us. I only remember because I happened to find the paper stashed somewhere in a cupboard yesterday.

Yeah alot of universitys seem to have not changed their application details from last year when the application number was used. My friend had to give it to book an open day or accomodation or something and he spent ages looking for it and eventually had to contact the uni and explain he couldnt get it.
Although the teachers at sixth form should have access to it- ours did but just didn't know where to find it, about a month later they found them and printed them all off for students, but I don't think anyone needed it after that.

Use the Apply/Track number, just get rid of the hyphens " - " then it should should read 0123456789 rather than 012-345-6789

doesnt work in all instances, for example applying for accommadation.
#] the number is meant to be your id number for the university
which means your offer will have to have completed final review
in order for reciept
