Calculator help - Casio FX-991ES

I have a Casio FX-991ES and it's displaying answers in fraction form.

If I do 256 divided by 12, it will show it as a fraction 64/3...how do I get the proper answer in decimal form.

What makes you think a decimal answer is 'proper'? The fractional answer is correct and the decimal answer is an approximation.

or if you want it always to display decimals straight away, click shift and then setup (i think it is called that - the button to the left of the ON button) and select 2 (LINEO)

type the fraction then select shift then menu button(beside ON) then select Engg.Symbol

Finally i found a proper fix to getting fractions for subtraction/division...All you need to do is, Press Shift mode to enter setup.. And the Select 6 (fix) and then enter the no. of digits to display.. and then try your calculation

otherwise, number as 'big' as 0.001 will be displayed in standard form.

Hello, I'm not really sure why but whenever I try to convert using S<=>D, the number becomes Y and the answer 0. I didn't really did anything before this; is there any chance I can get it back to normal?
