I had forgotten about the under the bed storage! That was pretty useful. I did drop the thing on my arm though, which was slightly painful!

I lived nearly on the top floor, so no in the window options for me, lol. Took forever to move in, climbing I think it was 6 sets of small stairs each time.

This may seem like a stupid question but how big is a queen sized bed? Because I always thought it was a bit bigger than a double but I can't imagine they would give us beds that big :biggrin:

Is it a bit bigger than a single or what? I'm really confused...

A UK Queen size is 71" x 79", equal to two normal UK singles and yes, bigger than a double.

Quick question about Alexandra Hall - how do you get to the laundrette? I've got a friend who's been placed in one of halls in town that doesn't have a laundrette (Brynderw?) and he was told to use Alexandra's laundrette.

Can you get to it through the main blue doors at the front?

You get in by going round the back, and then down the steps

all beds in alex are not queen size, i had a single, so did the rest of my flat. Its quite a mix of bed size so i wouldn't buy queen sized sheets could be a massive waste of money.

With the post thing the door is mostly unlocked so the postman just walks in. They are just far too lazy to go to all the flats to deliver parcels so just write slips and dont bother.

Some flats in alex are really good others really bad. I had a flat of 4 which was pretty rubbish and had a cupboard for a kitchen with no table, which made it very unsociable.

Well there was 5 of us for my flat last year and 2 shower rooms..seeing one guy hardly ever showed his face in our flat it mainly because boys (in the clean shower room) and girls in the other (very mucky) so a 2-2 or 2-3 split depending on how you see it...
