Which modules actually count towards the degree classification (3rd yr modules only?)

Hi,

I'm doing combined social sciences (if it makes a difference?), but I've read through the whole CSS handbook and the student handbook and all the general degree regulations on the Durham website and still can't work out which modules count towards the degree classification!

Is it an average of all the modules, so 1:1:1 weighting each year, or is it only the final year modules which decide which classification your degree is? I'm allowed to take 2 level 2 modules in my 3rd year, so would these module marks still count?

Thankyou!
Each university has its own regulations so you will have to do more research at the university.

It's 40/60 in favour of modules undertaken in the third year. I think 2nd year modules taken in 3rd year count as 3rd year modules for weighting purposes.

I know. I posted in the durham forum because I think it may be the same for all degrees?

not for your degree but they will be on your transcript that many top employers ask for.
