just go running and you need no gym fees...start off 5mins jogging 5 mins of short distance sprinting once a day for 1 week

then 2nd week go 10 mins jogging & 10 mins of sprinting (1-2 good short distance sprints each minute)

...from then on try to increase the jogging each week till your jogging for 25-35 mins while keep the sprinting to 10-15mins...also do all your jogging and warm up(i.e stretching) before you sprint to avoid pulling muscles .....make sure to practice stretching in your warm up by gradually doing various stretches such as touching your toes as this will help prevent injury while at the same tone improving your posture and helping to tone your body ......

with a mixture of jogging(increases your stamina...enduarance) & sprinting (helps to maintain muscle and lose fat) & stetching you'll be flying in no time......,anyway best of luck & hope it works out for you

likewise, people find circuits difficult, so they hate them.

i'd stick to running and circuits for someone with no gym.

our circuits program is 12 exercise stations, each station is 50 seconds, with 10 seconds between each one.

we repeat the program 3 1/2 times so 42 exercises

try these:

press-ups
sit-ups
crunches(where you raise your shoulders and legs together and don't let them touch the floor)
the plank
side bridges
squat thrusts
burpees
star jumps
standing squats
jumps

i dunno the name for it, but the one where you sit up and lift your bent legs off of the floor with your abs and hold it for 50

Hi
What type of exercises would you do to tone up for females?
Any good websites to help aswell?
Thanks
Hi lookingforhelp!

I take it over your side of town, it's prolly warm enough to go swimming! Something I'm missing atm, but that's another story (tho the disovery of how fun ice-skating can be seems to be taking my mind off that right now   ).

Anyway swimming is very toning, and you're less likely to pull/injure your muscles too, another bonus!

Otherwise I mainly up the sit-ups and stretching if I wanna further tone myself. Push-ups are generally cool too, but I wouldn't advise doing them as often as sit-ups.
