Congratulations! Wishing you all the best for the experience. Don't be so nervous though: just go and be yourself and if they don't like you, screw them :yep:

Aww thanks! (: Just concerned about the score and musicology extract given to us on the day...I've never really had trainings in musicology! And don't really know what to expect in terms of music theory..:/ Are the questions very in depth and detailed?

Don't worry - few applicants have any knowledge of musicology. That's the whole point though - to see how you deal with unfamiliar material/in unfamiliar territory!

Questions tend to be broad and probing rather than hugely detailed, but I've never been interviewed by Wollenberg, so don't know how she goes about interviewing :nah:

Not at all. It's just a formality more than anything else. To make sure you're actually DipABRSM/LRAM/whatever you've put down, rather than Grade 2 :p:

No worries. They know people get nervous, so no need to worry :hugs:
They've asked me to stay another day for an interview and harmony test. I thought I could go home already! :/ Is that good or bad..? And what is a harmony test :frown::frown:

It's not necessarily good, but not necessarily bad either. There could be a whole heap of reasons why they've asked you to stay longer, so try not to worry about why!

As for a harmony test, I'm not sure. Which college is this? Still with Wollenberg? In which case, I've no idea

Buckle is a very good friend of mine and my former tutor. She's scary in interviews sometimes in that she can be quite intense, but she's absolutely lovely IRL and so is Dr Harry. Nothing to worry about, I'd say.

Dr Traill is a composer-conductor. I'm not too sure what they would mean by harmony tests but I wouldn't worry too much about it. Does it say keyboard harmony, or just harmony?

Either way, don't worry. If they were definitely not considering you any more, they would be unlikely to invite you to another interview, if you think about it

It just says 'Harmony Test' so I'm not sure what it means..and I've had very little training in harmony and such :/ Ahh thats good to know then haha:smile: It says that I'll be given an extract and music (with ipod) preparation time of 30 minutes..Seems more intense than my other two interviews!
Haha ah I'll just do my best  THANKS AGAIN!!

It could be that they noticed from your applicatio that you've had little training in harmony and they just wanna see what you already know. Try not to worry too much. There's not much time to prepare at all, so I wouldn't recommend overstressing about it :nah:

That's OK. Hope the other interviews have been going well for you, and all the other muso applicants this year! :h:

Although all my interviews were tough, all the tutors were incredibly nice and interesting. I really hope I get a chance to study with them!

Mine were too! But I agree that the tutors were all very nice  Let's hope for the best!!!
Does anyone know if we can get an offer from the second college we were interviewed at? I felt that it went so much better than my first interview.
