I'm not at uni yet, but that's what I'm planning to do, because I feel completely out of place in social environments (I prefer smaller crowds of company)
Yeah I'm gonna do that too when I go as I don't drink and don't like hanging around in bars or clubbing. Wish everyone would be happy just going for dinner and bowling LOL
Like just study, go to the library all the time, not go out to clubs or drink cause thats what im doing, anyone else out there?
Well I plan to study hard during the day, do what's required to make sure I get a good degree. But the whole point of Uni to me is to learn how to live independantly and in social situations as well as an education, so although I'm going for the degree, there's other things that you've got to experience.
Can't always live for tomorrow, sometimes gotta live for today!
Freshers week i will be wasted and after that it will be the same as it is now.
Go to uni do your studying, once or twice a week enjoy the night life.
And i want to join societies.
but to be honest, i've never been into studying much anyway.
I do my work but i wont be clocking up hours and hoursa of extra libary time if i can avoid it.
I would rather play the xbox
I can barely imagine how depressed i would be if i didn't go out and have fun, unless the libary is fun for you.
the problem you will face is that unlike school where your thrown together for 11 years day in day out and get to know people because you're all stuck to gether at lunch, in uni people are older and will want to socialise in places like bars, clubs societies.
If you don't join in how will you make this small group of friends.
Thats bizarre. You are saying "part of UNI" but seeing as though you are living at uni most of the time thats like saying "Does anyone here not do the socialising part of life?".
I realise you are paying for your education but damn, you gotta socialise.
I don't go out much tbh with the uni lot - i'd rather spend money on something else rather than alcohol! I guess I have just grown outta that whole ''let's get rat arse'' phase!
I don't at uni, as in joining societies as none of them really took my fancy and I haven't been to the student bar once in my first year lol! I suppose it's different for me as I commute but I do have friends in my classes there and I'm planning to make more of an effort this year.
The thing is, I still hang out with my friends at home so I do go out at weekends and I work part time as well. It just seems like a lot of effort to work there all day, go home and change and then go all the way back again plus sort somewhere out to stay that night. I feel cheeky asking to stay too

awww (don't think i'm being patronising) but I swear thats so cute, i'm totally the same and I feel like i'm programmed wrong or something. I'm glad i'm not the only one that doesn't feel quite right "out".
I only like going out when it's a small group of my good friends around a table or pool or something...hate dancing and nightclubs
i was thinking that, esp all them people saying, "yes we did that, but not through choice", making me make a face like a punch is coming towards me, cringeworthy!

are you going to be living in student halls or commuting to university
Im gonna try to do that this year as I'm entering my 2nd year so my marks actually count towards my degree grade....therefore I gotta get my head down to serious work.
1st Year I mainly dossed about in the Student Bar wasting my money mainly on games of Pool which I heavily sucked at.
