Which part of the body?
Everything but the head and neck; so the limbs, the back, the thorax, the abdomen, the pelvis and perinium. Yes, I think thats all.
Not looking forward to it at all

Aw thank you. I do wonder how unlike the exam markers' opinion would be of me though!

I was more scared than stressed too.
I think with the number of assessments weve had, Ive grown immune to it all
Good luck for your exams too

we've only had 2 assessments so far.

There's just so much anatomy to learn for this one though (all of the CNS, arms and legs) ... Renal/Fluffy- how much do i need to know?

And I dont even know if there will be anatomy in the exam or if it'll be wordy or what....gargh.

Anywho, good luck with all of your exams!

they won't know. I could probably ask the course organiser on Thursday but he apparently wants us to fail...
And actually Renal and Fluffy probably won't know, as this module's been changed since when they did it.

it's general anatomy of the whole body i think but mainly those. As well as the main things that can go wrong with the CNS, arms and legs I think and treatments/prognosis I guess. There's also some ANS and sociology thrown in.

I really havent made much effort work wise this module (ok or any other module) so perhaps i dont have much right to complain but... there's a helluva lot to learn so i'm going to moan anyway!

Back to my cranial nerve revision... :hmpf:

I don't have a clue how much they expect you to know for these anatomy assessments. I'd make sure that I knew cranial nerves (oo, oo, oo, to touch and feel...) and brain stem alongside gross brain anatomy and how the pathways 'travel'.

And PS is actually a generally nice bloke, he doesn't want you to fail.

Woo! Didn't do half as badly as I'd thought in end of Stage 1 (yes, after 4 years, I'm still on Stage 1 ) assessments! Quite pleased with myself, in fact *smug* but of course next year will be harder...

I also got an "outstanding" for my final attachment, despite the fact I bet not one of the consultants knew my name.

Congrats Helen

A friend in med school was telling me about an exam he sat not long ago which sounded hideous. It was MCQs, and then after you selected an answer you had to choose how confident you were that you got the answer correct (Either Not confident at all, Fairly confident or Certain). You got zero marks if you selected not confident or got it wrong, one mark for getting it right but only being fairly confident, and 2 marks for getting it right and selecting certain.

That's horrible Apparently there was a really high pass mark too. Anyone else had to endure something like that?
