I am in the same boat :eek:

- though slightly longer (a smidgen over a year). Last minute planning won't be an option because we have finals immediately before!

So, lets take this thread on an electives tangent again to seek inspiration... :wink:

What have people here done? Any words of wisdom for planning?
Someone kindly dug me out an 'English speaking map' a while back which I should revisit.

Well i'm going alone so i need to be practical. I wanted to go to Jamaica but they want to charge me £125 pw so they can get lost.

I just came back from Singapore/Malaysia/Thailand (escaped for xmas to see the bf) and Malaysia seemed like a good place to do it if you were in the capital....

I am applying to Trinidad and Tobago at the moment.

People go at different times of the year. If all students went away at the same time they'd be a shortage of places, and the med school would effectively close down for final years for a couple of months, which is inefficient.
