Oooohhh, which hills did you scramble? Sounds fun. You didn't go Ghyll scrambling though did you, that absolutely destroys your legs trying to hold enough tension to maintain the grip?
No, just general pissing about in the Peak District. We walked up Dovedale, with a few random climbs up the side to pretty caves etc (not fun in the pouring rain!) and back along the top of it. Mostly quite fun, but with a couple of pretty steep climbs which I'm just not used to. And it was WET, which makes everything harder. Then yesterday we went along Froggatt Edge, which has lots of fun bits for bouldering, but my a)lack of upper body strength and b) fear of DEATH meant I was a bit sucky at that.

I was home in the Peaks this weekend. Mostly in bed, watching the rain move across the hills from my warm vantage point. Took the dog out a few times and that was about it. I'm getting a snobby aversion to mountaineering that doesn't require sun tan lotion, this whole wet thing just ain't appealing at all anymore.

Yeah, we gave up on the whole camping idea and ended up going back to Derby to stay at my friend's house, which was infinitely preferable to staying in a boggy field praying we didn't end up in a river by the end of the night. There is also more wine in Derby, leading to some very disturbingly inappropriate conversations.

Whereabouts in the Peaks are you from? Have you ever been to Grindleford Café? I was taken there on the insistence that it was "legendary" but am not sure how true this is.

Ah, I thought so, given the terrified status updates of some of my friends on facebook!

Good luck!

lol! Sorry, I should have been clearer, I meant do UCL tell you you are XX out of XXX? Not sure what we get here. Not questioning anything else - that would a) be rude and b) doesn't need saying, you're clearly a bright bunny
Oh I totally misinterpreted that didn't I?

The only thing the faculty give us is our quartile band, nothing else.

Our hospital is a bit dead and working with very few juniors due to this.

Best of luck.

What's the context?
It was on a list of pre-existing conditions that a patient with Listeria had.

Patients scare me. And we're in like 9-5 all the time now!!
patients terrified me for the whole of first year but now i've got to year 3, i'm a lot more relaxed with talking to them - guess it's practice that makes the difference

I like pina coladas. 5 Jamaican men have offered me various "gifts" in return for my hand in marriage.

Life is good.
