D'Oh! I meant 'hospital at night'... ..and that defo sounds like a cheap porno!
Perhaps we should start casting Fluffs - might make us some money to put a little dent in our horrific debts!

Do you think we'd get any volunteers?

PS - I knew what you meant, but I couldn't resist being naughty

Of course there will be other more senior members of staff on call. I don't think either myself or Anita were implying we'd be running our respective hospitals by ourselves - that would be

It is more of a lament of having to work and also that on call shifts are less protected than standard hours as there are less seniors immediately available and also more autonomous decisions to be made.

It also makes for a LONG working week. I am rostered to do 100 hours in my first 9 days  - fortunately it gets a lot better after that.
Precisely. But, Ataloss, it definitely sounds like you've got it worse than me - after that first on call on 4 Aug, I'm not on call for another 2 weeks - and my first week of nights isn't till mid-October.
My main fear is just having trouble with what are, essentially, bog-standard PRHO tasks. It's generally accepted that PRHO's can do stuff like cannulate, prescribe fluids and analgesia and prep people for theatre without having to ask for senior help - tasks which at the moment I'm not sure I'm capable of!
