hmm, is this normal?

Okay, this is like a continuos cycle every summer, seen as the weather is getting hot again i will start going all funny again. So anyway, so you know what the hell im talking about. Basically, i eat normally, all the right meals etc* but i drink too much. I can get through a 2 litre bottle in an hour, and half an hour later i will be dehydrated. But no one else i know drinks that much. So, is it like this for some people or am i just weird?

do you go to the toilet more than normal? i thought if you drank too much you could somehow drown your insides?

Do you drink like a whole bottle of water in one go, and then have nothing for a while and then have another bottle? If so, it's best to drink slowly. Otherwise, your body goes "gah, I've got too much water!" and gets rid of it before using it to it's full advantage

Drinking lots in summer isnt neccessarily bad for you! But maybe a word with your doctor is worth while, at least to put your fears to rest, if they arent worried, you shouldnt be

hey, it could be worse, i drink so little its worrying, i just forget to drink and i'm so used to being thirsty i don't notice it. for example the only thing i've drunk in the last 24 hours is one can of coke.

Maybe it's just normal for you.

You could try keeping a chart of how much you actually drink, and then if you do go see your doctor it's more definite than saying that you drink "lots"

drinking a lot of water and going to the toilet a lot can be a sign of diabetes. go to the doctors if you have noticed a lot of weight loss recently too.

It's animation software; and you're off-topic, you should have PM'd LPK

The problem with drinking lots of water all at once is you run the risk of water poisoning. Lots of people who know they're having a urine test, and have something in them try flushing their system with water and get water poisoning.

i have a friend who drinks lots of water, he carries a small bottle around with him, regularly sipping from it.
offtopic but isn't that the monster in Ski Free, OldPanda?
I love that game

in the summer i think it would be normal for a person to drink more fluids cos you're more active and the weather is obviously much hotter so i doubt there's anything wrong with you.

I worry about how much I drink too. I used to drink not much at all, but now I think I drink lots and lots. I ALWAYS seem to be thirsty. I have a pint glass with me at the computer, and go fill it up with orange squash every so often. I must drink several litres a day. I also always have to drink when I eat, and then fill the glass up again after I've eaten, and usually again a short time after.
