Will i still be able to or am i too late? I really need to find a place to live so i'm hoping i'll still be able to live on campus...anybody know if i'm still able to apply? Thanks

The news going round is the halls are all allocated, but the Uni are putting students up in Mercury Point, which is a massive block of flats literally next door to the halls.
Best thing to do is give the Uni a ring tomorrow (Monday), explain your situaton and see what they can offer you..
Good luck

Thanks so much for replying - i didn't think anybody was going to lol is Mercury Point the Liberty living thing? Yeah i was looking into that but on the libertyliving website it says all the rooms are sold out :s-smilie:

Do you (or does anyone) know if this means they're unavailable completely or that just the uni's can allocate them to students now? I would really like to live in some kind of halls so liberty living would be fine. I just really really need to find somewhere, starting to panic now!! I've emailed the accomodation office at solent but they haven't replied yet, if they don't email back tomorrow then i'll ring them and see what they say. Fingers crossed for liberty living!!

If the website says they are sold out then you may be out of luck. I know for a fact that Solent have been ringing up students that have filled out and applied for halls but haven't got in and offering them places in Mercury Point.

I wouldn't hold much hope of getting an email back from them, I have been emailing the admissions tutor all summer and heard zilch until I rang them demanding answers (as they hadn't confirmed my place until last week!)

The best thing you can really do is give the Uni a ring and explain your situation, then they may be able to offer you something. There are a couple of special days this week were freshers can search for accomodation, but again when you ring up they can tell you everything you need.

Good luck!

If you still want a place at the residences, I am thinking of moving out of Deanery and I need to find someone to replace me here.
