I was just wondering, having spoken to a female friend about her going on the pill recently. Is the pill used simply as a prolonged protection against pregnancy... or to alleviate the pain of ovulation and periods and stuff, as I gather such experiences can be really horrible for girls. Sorry, I am just curious...
I use the Pill for several reasons - firstly for contraception obviously, but just as important, my periods were extremely erratic before I went on the Pill - sometimes it would be six weeks between periods, sometimes I'd miss them, etc. Now they're regular as clockwork!
Also, I used to get excruciating period pains and I never get them anymore, which is amazing! My periods are also lighter and shorter, so it's great.
