Good A-level choices to study Law, Politics or English @ University.

Hey Guys,

I'm pretty sure I want to do either Law, Politics or English at University.

I am interested in either going to Kings, RHUL or UCL.

I've chosen the following subject to study at A-level and I plan on getting A's throughout, fingers crosed

English Lit
Government & Politics
Economics
Sociology (Probably dropped after AS)

I'm pretty happy with these subjects and I think I can do well at all of them.

Good choices or not? If not then what should I possibly change?

History would be useful, I'd swap it for Sociology.

A language, perhaps? History would be useful.

I'd swap sociology for history, then you've got a pretty awesome set of A-levels for any of those degrees.
im thinking of doing English Lit, French, Maths, History..
Is this good for Law?

Everything's good for law, as long as they're respected subjects which yours all are.

History is a wayyy stronger subject for A level than sociology.
Check individual unis websites for their preferred subjects and check coursefinder.co.uk

My friend is doing these options! Lol apparently they're excellent. Good luck.
I'm thinking of studying law at A-level. I have chosen 4 subjects I like and think might be useful for the course:

History, Geography, Economics and Philosophy and Ethics.

Do people think these subjects would suit the course and if not what subject/s would be better?

you mean law at uni, not a level?
you could consider doing a language or english lit instead of economics (it's not a traditional a level, but useful anyway if you're interested in it)
in the end just do what you'll enjoy
I'm applying for Politics in uni and I take English Literature, Government & Politics, Law and Psychology. (:

In the end though, just take whatever you're interested in, as long as they're not horrendous like Photography or Film Studies.

Hope this helps!
I am thinking of doing:
History
English lit
Philosophy and ethics
Politics
I think they are good subjects for studying law. Any views??? And how are these subjects like? 😀Thanks

Yes I would say those are good options
I personally did English Lit (at AS level) and I enjoyed it. However, I will say that it requires a lot of work to get an A in and will be much better to condone if you actually genuinely like English.
Same for History (from what I gathered from my best friend)

Yes I know English lit is challenging but I'm a hard worker and I want to do it. But for now focus on my GCSE got mock tests in November wish me luck. Does anyone now any good websites for maths?
