thats the problem with the biology department at aber sometimes, the multiple choice exams, some of them partially run into the 2nd year but they're not as big a part as first year. They're more to catch people out than anything.
I did acouple modules in chemistry and genetics in my first year and ended up getting better marks than my friends doing biology, purely because of the way i approached the multiple choices. I only answered if i knew the answer 100%, so probably answered only 50-60% of the papers and got a 67 and 75.
Second year will be abit more meaty though, some deep questions to get your teeth into.
